Hobby

One of the aspects of the progress of the civilization is the invention of hobbies. A hobby is an occupation in which a man voluntarily engages himself either for relaxation or for passing leisure time. Hobbies have great value. After strain of a days hard work one feels refreshed by indulging in some hobby. A hobby chases away fatigue and restores mental energy. One can completely forgets one self in the persuit of it.

Man’s clever brain has invented numerous hobbies. The range of hobbies is very large and one can select a hobby that suits one’s taste and temperament. My hobby is stamp collecting. I possess several albums containing stamps of various countries. I am always on the look out for a new stamp. When ever I see an envelop bearing a foreign stamp in hands of a friend I take that from him and add it to my precious collection. These albums indeed look very beautiful, as they contain a variety of the pictorial stamps of many countries. Stamp collecting has no limits, and collection never has an end. Countries are always printing and issuing new stamps to celebrate great events. A stamp has a fascination, all its own. There is a history in a stamp. We see famous men, writers, scientists, soldiers and statement on stamp and we witness famous events. Stamps so small in size contain knowledge that is important and vast.
